  • Vsys: Our New Online Scheduler

As noted in our last blog post, Vsys has gone live, and is our new system for scheduling volunteer shifts, keeping a log book of your hours, and there are plans in the future to offer online micro-trainings. If you need help with logging in, setting your password, or seeing your requests and assignments, contact Jenna by email. We will set up an appointment, either in person or on the phone and get you squared away. Thanks!
  • Benefits of an SI ID Badge

While it is true that the parking perk ended due to major museum renovations at both NASM and NMNH, there are all these other benefits of volunteering with the Smithsonian. Which ones do you appreciate?
  • STUDIO ART REPS: Plan to come to a March Training Session

Just a reminder that all Art Reps must participate in an onsite Refresher Training on one of these three dates. Please save one on your calendar so you won't miss it. This training is required to maintain an active volunteer status and to continue volunteering with our studio art courses. The dates are: Sat. March 16 - 10 am to 12 noon; Wed. March 20 - 6 pm to 8 pm; OR Tues. March 26 - 10 am to 12 noon. These Refresher Trainings will take place at Ripley Center.
  • Curious about how the Smithsonian stacks up, statistics wise?

Read up on all kinds of wonky pieces of information on our new and improved Public Metrics Dashboard, which uses a combination of narrative, images, and graphics to display core metrics for the Smithsonian's major functions and programs. The numbers here tell the story of the Smithsonian's amazing scope and reach - and as volunteers YOU are part of that "reach" to our public and our program audiences!
